My name is Kenyatta Becktemba and I am a fully qualified, NRA Certified Pistol Instructor. I am both a member of the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and the Armed Citizen's Legal Defense Network. (ACLDN) I have over 25 yrs of concealed weapon experience. My class size is small and each student is given the individual attention to insure they are comfortable with the class.

My prices are inexpensive. In fact, often no more than others, who only teach you the bare minimum for certification. More offten then not, most trainers only let you fire one or two rounds before pronouncing " Your certified"


Florida law says you must at least complete a basic gun safety or hunter’s safety class before you can be issued a license to carry a concealed weapon.

My class both meets and exceeds Florida’s minimum requirement and you are supplied with authentic NRA training material and will receive an official NRA certificate of completion. In my training sessions I teach two very important classes.

1st Class - NRA FIRST STEPS PISTOL ORIENTATION.
The NRA First Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This is a four hour course and includes three hours classroom training and one hour range time (learning to shoot a specific pistol action type). Students will learn the following: NRA’s rules for safe gun handling particular pistol model parts and operation fundamentals of the pistol.

Also, there is mentoring on continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.

2nd Class - “Principles of Concealed Carry” (POCC)

This class is a non-NRA class and goes into issues not covered in first steps basic class.
Class covers, but is not limited to:

• Choosing best defensive rounds
• Proper interaction with law enforcement when armed
• Concealment options for men
• Concealment options for women
• How to save money off firearm purchases
• Self-Defense mindset
• Confrontation de-escalation
• Tactical Advantage Recovery
• Moral Responsibility



The second class is free with a paid completion of the first class. In fact, one of the added values from the second class is the money saving information you learn to apply to gun purchases and carry accessories. The value derived from the second class will more than pay for the first class.
